My husband's birthday was a few weeks ago and he had put the order in for this cake when I showed this cake to him some months ago.
It is really quite delicious. It is super moist, quite rich in chocolate flavour but surprisingly not overwhelmingly or sickly sweet.
I usually don't use bought cake mix but this was honestly easy and yummy, I would be happy to make it again for family + friends.
Ingredients:
1 x box of White Wings Our Favourite Moist Chocolate Cake
2 x packets of Cottees instant chocolate pudding mix
2 large eggs
3 cups of milk
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl with a mixer.
Pour into a well lined + greased spring form cake pan.
Bake in a 160C oven for 1 hour, until a skewer comes out clean. The cake will most likey be a little jiggly still, but as long as the skewer comes out clean, you're good.
Let cool slightly and then transfer over to a plate to cool completely.
It doesn't look like too fancy as it is, but it tastes so good.
If you sprinkle with a lot of icing sugar it comes out looking quite nice! As I said earlier, the cake itself is not that sweet, so icing sugar on top won't make it overwhelmingly sweet.
It will absorb the icing sugar though, so dust just prior to serving. See how truly moist it is?
