{12 Days of Christmas} Day 12 : LEGO Duplo My First Zoo

Woohoo! :o} We have made it to Day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways and I am super excited that today I get to give away some LEGO Duplo!

Duplo from LEGO is a preschool building toy. It is designed for little ones in mind, with bigger pieces that allow for small hands to easily build to their hearts content. They have sets for children that range between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old and both of mine {2 and nearly 6 years old} LOVE building with Duplo.

This is the LEGO Duplo My First Zoo set and can I just say, it is super cute.
It comes with a tiger, giraffe, polar bear and baby elephant, including some food for them to eat like a big steak for the tiger and a yummy fish for the polar bear. As well as a Zoo Keeper, his car, a Zoo sign and building and enough blocks to build a very cool Duplo tree!

We love Duplo in our house and it is a perfect toy for my kids to play with since their age gap is over 3 years. Chloe and Noah can play with Duplo together for hours and build the most amazing little towns or buildings and now they have a zoo to add to their collection! Chloe is also now more interested in making buildings and cities thanks to her big brother and doesn't usually knock things down on purpose anymore! I can tell you that makes Noah {and I} super happy!

Chloe finds it so easy to build with Duplo which is why we love it, it definitely makes for happy play times :o} I love that it doesn't need batteries and it doesn't make noise. All the action and sounds have to come from my kiddos. Did you know a giraffe sounds like a kookaburra? Haha!! Neither did I.

I love the imagination they can use with toys like this. Here, the elephant is lifting up the fence, because he wants to take it to his house. Of course!

And here, the Tiger is not eating this food. Oh no. He is going to sleep on it. It's a pillow. Didn't you know?

Another reason I love DUPLO is because we can keep adding to our collection. I mentioned in my post here about Christmas gift giving how I like to add to collections instead of start whole new ones, for a lot of reasons but mostly because of storage constraints and because I like to collect good quality toys over time that will last and last and see my kids through many many imaginative and creative play sessions :o}

LEGO DUPLO My First Zoo (RRP $39.99)

So the lovely people at LEGO have set aside TWO LEGO DUPLO My First Zoo playsets for TWO lucky a little delightful readers :o} Perfect to add to the Christmas presents under the tree :o}

Enter using the rafflecopter widget below! :o} Good luck!!

  7. Sophie was given some Duplo farm animals for her 1st birthday and Grace is getting some for Christmas too so would love to add to their small collection. I'm not keen on always getting new toys either, preferring to stick to those we love and use.

Then I had another baby and I am trying to start our collection up again for him as Duplo was much loved by the older kids. They would build houses for their Barbie and shops like the bakery or grocery store for their dolls to go shopping. I want to re-create that again with my son.
