We are big LEGO lovers in this house.
I grew up with LEGO, as did my husband.
My 3 younger brothers refuse to let go of our LEGO collection, so we have slowly built up our own for the kiddos to enjoy.
Noah is big on LEGO. Loves it and plays with it every.single.day. It is so good for his imagination, fine motor skills and concentration. I love that it is an all around great toy that will also last and last.
We were recently sent this LEGO Creator Construction Hauler.
Oh boy.
Noah absolutely loves it. Why wouldn't he? It has a little digger that is carried on the trailer. It's red with orange lights {orange is his favourite colour} and it goes with all his other trucks and LEGO mining sets he has slowly been collecting.
What I also love about the Creator range of LEGO is that every set comes with more than 1 instruction booklet to make more than 1 model. This one makes the construction hauler, a cherry picker truck and a car with trailer and dune buggy. Noah usually leaves his made LEGO models as they are for a little while, but slowly makes little changes and modifications before it is something entirely different and unique. That is what I love most about LEGO, the open ended play opportunities and the invitation to use his imagination.
I love how he plays with his LEGO. Does your little one play like this too? He has ever since he was a teeny tot. Cute.
I am so happy to be able to give away one set of the LEGO Creator Construction Hauler to 3 lucky readers!!
Win 1 of 3 LEGO Creator Construction Hauler sets valued at $22.99 each
Construction Hauler RRP $22.99
Unload the working digger from the heavy-duty construction hauler, then get to work or rebuild it into a cherry picker or off-road transporter with dune buggy.
Entering is easy! Good luck! :o}

Love, love, love LEGO! Especially now the boys can follow the instructions. Fabulous that this kit is so versatile.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have Lego (too many girls in our house lol) - but I always wanted it and now i love buying and even browsing the Lego with my two sons who LOVE it :) and I love making it with them (and even organising it to store - but don't tell them as they wont pack up knowing I like doing it lol)
ReplyDeleteLauren Kapper
Being a family of three girls, we didn't really have too much Lego around. But I always treasured a picture that my Danish granny gave me of Legoland in Denmark, and I vowed that I would go there one day!
ReplyDeleteWe gave my five year old nephew his first Lego kit for Christmas last year and he is now hooked! We gave him the green garbage truck, and he sat with my hubby on Christmas day until it was put together! We have since given him a little maroon ute that is very similar to my hubby's car, which was put together that night, and I have a little boat ready to give him for Easter. I look forward to expanding his collection over the coming years!
xx
My 4 year old son is obsessed with Lego! He is always building something and his favourite book is his big Lego book that he takes to bed every night. He would just love this little set.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say, having grown in up in Germany, Lego was one of the main toys my brother and I played with! Unfortunately, I don't have any of my old Lego anymore :(
ReplyDeleteYes I did and I love it. The kids buy me lego for Christmas. Its great to put together. Still have my old lego at mums place.
ReplyDeleteMy nephew plays like that too, must be a great angle to view the world! My daughter loves Lego too :-) and their Lego Freinds books are great too!
ReplyDeleteMy brother and used to love playing with HIS Lego collection. Alas I have none of it but have started with some Duplo for my Miss 3 and Mr 2. I'm sure they will grow to love the Lego proper too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LEGO I used to buy it for my brother when we were little as gifts so I could play with it!! My kids got some each for christmas and they love constructing.
ReplyDeleteSure did! LEGO rules. The lego from my childhood lives at Mum's in Coffs Harbour and my kids love playing with it at Nanny's. My favourite was a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang set.
ReplyDeleteLego rocks our house :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Lego and I love that my boys are just getting old enough to play with lego and love it as well.
ReplyDeleteMy brother & I used to play with Lego as kids but I've no idea where our collection went. We are starting to amass a collection for my 6yo though - I think he enjoys the "building it with Mum" part the most.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I used to use our lego to make a farm for our toy animals to live in, great fun
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Eastern Europe so we didn't have Lego but definitely making up for that now creating castles, garages and lots of wonderful creations with my youngest two kids.
ReplyDeleteNo ina family of 7 we never had Lego believe it or not, I use to love playing with the Lego at the doctors office. My 2 girls love Lego and there's such a great range to choose from
ReplyDeleteI grew up a little before Lego, but my sons loved it and now my grandsons head for the Lego box as soon as they arrive at our house.
ReplyDeleteI use to play with my brother's LEGOS and loved playing with them .I use to make houses for my barbie with lEGOS. I don't have any collection of lEGOS for me but i do buy them for my son now who is a big fan of LEGOS.
ReplyDeleteLove lego, so do the kids, it is fantastic for them to learn to follow written, well picture, instructions and also use their own creativity.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with lego so I love reliving my childhood through my little boy who loves it as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteMy son has started a collection with bit and pieces at birthday and christmas. He is only 4 so much yet to collect. My husband was a Lego child and loves building with him.
ReplyDeleteI Loved my stash of Lego when I was growing up and still love making pieces with it. My brothers and i had such a large range. I loved the lego Men with the black clip on hair.
ReplyDeleteLove that my just turned 3 year old can now play Lego with his 9 year old brother - keeps them both happy and quiet :-)
ReplyDeleteMy mum still has all our Lego and now my children play with it when at her house. My children are obsessed with Lego at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI loved lego as a kid...shame I didnt keep any to pass down to my kids! Stuart pyle
ReplyDeletewe loved leggo when we were kids my brother still has it all and we play with it and all the kids we have some great fun ding this together
ReplyDeleteI grew up with LEGO, and still love it to this day.
ReplyDeleteWhilst my personal LEGO collection was allocated elsewhere, it is still popular in my household.
We didn't have any Lego but I remember going to my cousins and making up his new sets. He always got the biggest sets I remember making pirate ships they were huge
ReplyDeleteI had a lego house, with little flowers, trees and even little opening windows. But it didn't take me long to lose all the pieces. I still have the little cloth bag my Mum made to put it in - but it's empty
ReplyDeleteI grew up with lots and lots of LEGO...I was very lucky! I also kept all of mine... great to share with my kids, as I've just started introducing my eldest to LEGO.
ReplyDeleteWe played with our lego so much in the sandpit that is slowly disappeared!
ReplyDeleteStarting to collect it again now I have little boys!
My Mum kept all our lego in the attic in a huge box and gave it to my kids.
ReplyDeletemy little brother had LEGO when he was little (he's now 29), my Mum still has it and lets my kids play with it when we visit!
ReplyDeleteWe love Lego and are slowly building up our collection.
ReplyDeleteMy little brother had lego which i used to play with and my mum still has a big box of it for my girls to play with. One of the few toys she kept.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see the new Lego 'friends' girl range . We have a few boxes now and it keeps my almost 6 year old happy and quiet for ages!
We love LEGO!I remember spending hours creating things with LEGO and love watching my children do the same thing. Nicole Shanahan
ReplyDeleteNo LEGO when I was growing up but mr 5 and I are making up for it now
ReplyDeleteLouise Pekan
Yes, I have held on to my childhood lego collection and now my children share in fun :)
ReplyDeletemy nearly 5 year old has been collecting Lego since last Christmas! I love it, and don't mind that it gets everywhere, well not too much anyway :)
ReplyDeleteMy lego from mine and my hubby's childhood is getting used with our kids, I love watching my children use their imagination and spend hours upon hours playing with it
ReplyDeleteplayed with it when i was a kid and parents took me to all the exhibitions now my 5 kids get to enjoy it too!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any Lego when I was young, but my cousins did, and we would always play together when we were over visiting. I think Lego is great!
I have three daughters but they don't have any Lego either. We would love it!!
Yes, grew up with Lego! Still have it, it is a prized possession handed down to my kids who also love it!
ReplyDeleteDid I grow up with LEGO - I certainly did! My brother and I had countless brawls over LEGO pieces until my Dad sat us down one day and AUCTIONED OFF the pieces bewteen us...we didn't have m oney to buy the pieces, the deal was we had to buy them with chores! Each chore was worth so many LEGO pieces! LOL...it worked brilliantly!
ReplyDeleteI had some LEGO at home, but my husband had heaps of it, and still talks sadly about the day in his 20's when he came home to find that his young cousins had dismantled it all (he didn't keep the instructions)! I wish we still had our LEGO collections, but we are slowly building up the collection for our two boys.
ReplyDeleteI think it's probably just about time to upgrade from DUPLO to LEGO for my nearly-5-year old... you've given me a great idea for his upcoming birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember lego in our home growing up, however my Mr 3.5 and Miss 1.5 love playing with Duplo at the moment. Mr will play with it every day as well and is looking forward to playing with some "big boy lego" soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, I grew up with Lego as did my husband and he has kept all his collections and STILL has to check out the Lego aisle when buying toys for our daughter. My daughter also has an infatuation with Lego and building things. Since I'm a plumber... maybe she might follow in her mother's footsteps?
ReplyDeleteI don't remember having Lego when I was growing up. But my 5 year old loves it! I'd love to hear how you store your Lego Bianca, for example, mod you keep 'sets' together with the instructions, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy mum still has a huge box of Lego at home, as I have four much younger brothers and sisters. My kids love playing with it there as it's all jumbled together in a glorious mess as opposed to home where each set is carefully kept together which it's instructions in zip lock bags!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with Legos due to a younger brother. And my boys love Legos! We play with them every day. I even have some on my nightstand :) sadly we just have a huge bucket we throw them in as I am not that organized :(
ReplyDeleteOMG this is your best giveaway ever Bianca! We inherited my husband's lego (but no instruction manuals), so it makes for VERY imaginative play. I am slowly building up our lego collection, the girls love the friends lego, and the boys have a few little bits and pieces from Santa etc (oh and the lego advent calendar - this was the best advent ever for my kids). I find the new lego very different to the old 80's style, the new walls etc are more specialised and lots of tiny pieces, so we try to keep the old and new separate as otherwise when following instructions it can be really hard to complete something. Just LOVE this stuff!
ReplyDeleteWe love LEGO here too! My brothers had sooo much of it growing up and like your brothers can't let all of it go. We have it tied up in the LEGO drawstring bag that we had when we were kids. :)
ReplyDeleteMy brother and I recently found his Lego collection and I made the mistake of assuming it was OK for my kids to play with it. No way - he's 37 but so not ready to give it up! I wish they'd had the Lego Friends sets when I was a kid. My brother would not let me play with his at all! I'm now loving all the Lego my daughter has and my son, 3, is getting right in to it as well. Lego is so cool!
ReplyDeleteMy brother had tons of Lego when we were growing up but I didn't. I would've loved the Lego Friends like my daughter,6, does. My 4 year old son is starting to get very interested in his big sisters Lego so I will definitely be investing in some for him. The Lego Creator set looks like something he'd love to start off with.
ReplyDeleteI had lots of lego and loved it! Used to keep me entertained for hours!
ReplyDeleteI was very fortunate that my mum worked for LEGO so we were always playing with it, it's the best toy that my children now love playing with it.
ReplyDeleteI never got any lego as a kid, but really enjoying playing it at my cousins house. We made so many towns.
ReplyDeleteGrew up playing with my little brother's rather extensive Lego collection, and my mum kept it all too, so now my little 18 month old son is starting to use it as well! It keeps him entertained for ages :)
ReplyDeleteI grew up with Lego and Duplo and thought it was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThen I turned ten and forgot all about it.
Now I have a son, I wish I'd kept it for him!

ReplyDeleteI grew up with Lego-well mainly playing with my brother's lego. My parents still have all of his old lego and I keep subtlety trying to let them know I will take it for my boys!
ReplyDeleteYes, I grew up with 3 brothers so Lego was definately a winner at our house. I remember trying to build houses and play families with my younger brother who was told by my mother that he had to (or so that what he says!). Lego is such a wonderful toy to develop fine motor skills, creativity and just have fun with others.
ReplyDeleteYes grew up with it even in a houseful of girls...and I have a lego mad boy too. xxx
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love lego! I unfortunately didn't keep any but I've more then made up for it with Miss 5 hehe :)
ReplyDeleteNo don't remember any Lego in our house of 3 girls, My husbands Mother has kept all his and now our kiddies get to play with it and love it :-)
ReplyDeleteI spent my days building my dream mansion. I had no internet back then.
ReplyDeleteWe didnt no-but my kids certainly do and they love it!!

But once show time comearound i NEVER had anything ready.
My mum still has my lego collection in a big yellow pig.
Much to say I wouldnt be game enough to open it up and check it out anytime soon.
I am sure it would be a complete shamozzle!
But today i buy my son more modern lego, id never let him have that big container full, i would always be standing on it. He would have it scattered all over the house!
LOVE LEGO!
I was surrounded by lego my whole life, as I grew up with a brother. We would sit for hours as we had a huge piece of material with a drawstring (that would convert to a bag) that was full of lego. It is hours of fun, and now I have past that tradition down to my son, who is 5, and is starting to get involved with lego. I love how lego is still popular, even though it hasn't changed, yet the world around it has!
ReplyDeleteI didn't grow up with lego, but our children certainly did, and it's all here in containers, ready for the grandchildren to play with. I'm sure they will be born one day.....I hope.

My son always, and still does love his LEGO. Now he loves spending time with his young sons building with LEGO.
ReplyDeleteI never had any lego growing up and was always SO jealous of my brother and sisters collection! (sometimes they would let me play with it....lol). My boys love it, and I have made sure to get both of them some of their own.

DeleteI love Lego as a child and used to sit creating things while my Mum and Dad tried to guess what I was making. I still have my Lego from over 30 years ago (I still enjoy playing with it) and it has been added to from generation to generation. It's such a great educational toy teaching hand-eye co-ordination and enlightening the creativity in all of us! It is perhaps one of the only toys that has stood the test of time.
ReplyDeleteI still have some of the Lego I had as a child, which my son now incorporates with his Lego. I personally think its one of the best toys ever.
ReplyDeleteCheers Sharon

ReplyDeleteAlthough there was zero Lego in my house growing up.... my husband however had LOADS of "when I was young" stories AND he has his original Space Lego still in mint condition. He has just passed it onto our 6yr old who promptly pulled it all apart and tipped it into his huge Lego box. Husband.. not happy. ha ha!!

ReplyDeleteWe had a Lego collection as children, not sure where my Mum got it from, but I remember building houses over and over again. Mostly using the little white pieces to make the picket fence. We don't still have it, my Mum doesn't like clutter, I imagine she gave it to one of our younger cousins at some point in time. If they still have it, they aren't owning up, so we have started our own Lego collection for our 3. Now that we have a boy, I'm excited to branch out a little from Lego Friends.
ReplyDeleteOh, Lego. *LOVE* I played with it for years and years. My parents still have my brother's and my collection, which works well as the kids use it when visiting their house, and I have an excuse to indulge in new sets for home. My 5 year old supergirly girl is in love with the Lego Friends but she has some of the City and Constructor sets too. Love watching her mix the two - the fashion design studio has regular visits from building workers and the police. Quite the cosmopolis. I do still wish they'd kept making Fabuland (the cartoon animal sets from the early 80s) - they were seriously cute.
